    Air Force 2 in and out of Savannah twice Monday

    SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – On Monday, Air Force 2, which is allocated for use of U. S. Vice President Kamala Harris was in Savannah.

    Lori Lynah, Director of Marketing and Air Service Development confirmed with News 3 Air Force 2 was in and out of the Savannah Hilton Head International Airport twice on Monday for touch and go’s.

    Originally, Vice President Harris was readying to be in Savannah to rally on Friday, Aug. 9.

    However, due to the impact of Tropical Storm Debby, News 3 was informed that the Vice President’s campaign postponed the visit. Her rally in Savannah has not been rescheduled yet.

    Monday is the opening day of the 2024 Democratic National Convention (DNC), where delegates from all 50 states and U.S. territories will convene in Chicago.

    Vice President Harris, who is the Presidential Democratic Party nominee and her running mate Tim Walz, are expected to outline their ideas for America and their plan to defeat Republican Party nominee Donald Trump in November.

    The DNC will run until August 22 in Chicago.

    This week, Trump and Republican Vice-Presidential nominee, Senator JD Vance to Deliver Remarks on National Security in Asheboro, North Carolina on Wednesday, Aug. 21.

    On Friday, Aug. 23, Trump and Senator Vance will be rallying in Glendale Arizona.
