2 individuals airlifted to hospital following I-95 single-vehicle crash

HINESVILLE, Ga. (WSAV) – A crash has left two individuals injured after their vehicle experienced complications and went off the road.

On August 19, 2024, at 1:21 p.m., Hinesville troopers were dispatched to investigate a single-vehicle crash on I-95. Once completing the investigation it was determined that the Ford Explorer was traveling southbound when it experienced tire failure.

The tire failure caused the vehicle to depart the roadway and strike the median guardrail and overturn into the southbound travel lanes.

The vehicle finally came to rest in the right southbound travel lane on its wheels. The two occupants sustained injuries from the crash and were transported by helicopter to Savannah Memorial where they are receiving medical treatment.

There were no fatalities from this crash.
