SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – During a press conference on Tuesday, Savannah Mayor Van Johnson revealed the City’s first-ever 912 Day logo.

912 Day is a citywide celebration culminating in Savannah Day, an expression of the Savannah community’s spirit on Sept. 12.

After the logo was displayed, Mayor Johnson said, “It reflects the City’s dedication in celebrating our cultural heritage and notable City’s gates with a nod to our area code, 912.

During the press conference, Mayor Johnson also spoke about the days leading up to 912 Day, called 9 Days of 912.

“So, starting on September the 4th, right, through September the 12th, we will hold a city-wide scavenger hunt. This interactive experience is designed to strengthen communities, support local businesses, and showcase Savannah’s exceptional charm,” said Mayor Johnson.

During 9 Days of 912 challenge, the City of Savannah will be posting a new clue on the City of Savannah and the Visit Savannah’s social media accounts.

Participants must find the location or landmark described in each clue, take a selfie at the identified location or landmark, post it on Instagram or Facebook, and tag @CityofSavannah and @visitsavannah.

The first 20 participants to post each day will receive a daily prize. There will also be a grand prize raffle for participants who successfully find and post a photo for each of the 9 days.
