SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – Enmarket is swapping out ice for truckloads of dirt this weekend.

Monster Jam is rolling back into the Hostess City for its second time ever, the first show starting Friday at 7p.m.

WSAV was inside Enmarket Arena with one of the Monster Jam drivers who will be tearing it up at the event.

Loghan Ashline is a recent addition to the team and has already cemented her spot.

Over the summer, she received a competition win in freestyle. She says it was the best moment so far in her career since she competes against veteran drivers.

This weekend, Ashline will compete in a donut competition, skill challenges, speed races and freestyle events.

Monster Jam reached out for Ashline to try out, and she fell in love quickly with the motorsport.

“I’ve been involved in motorsports my whole life,” Ashline said. “I’ve always been passionate about it. I’ve always wanted to be a race car driver, but I never expected it to be in monster trucks.”

It’s the best of both worlds for Ashline, making her worlds collide, showing her girly side, and what she calls her tomboy side: racing 12,000-pound trucks.

“All of these young ladies who come out here, I can tell that they are just so excited to see someone like them in one of these Monster Jam trucks,” said Ashline. “Being able to be that role model for them is something I take very seriously.”

Each monster truck is about 10.5 feet tall, and 17 feet long.

There will be five shows this weekend for you to see. For more information on the shows click here.
