    STEM Academy at Bartlett awarded Apple Distinguished School Designation

    SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – The STEM Academy at Bartlett has been recognized as an Apple Distinguished School for 2024–2027.

    The award is for the school’s use of technology including a 1:1 iPad program and integration of apps across the curriculum to create a culture of innovation and academic achievement.

    Apple Distinguished Schools use technology to inspire creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. They showcase innovative uses of technology in learning, teaching, and the school environment and have documented results of academic accomplishment.

    The selection of The STEM Academy as an Apple Distinguished School highlights the school’s learning environment that engages students and provides tangible evidence of academic achievement.

    The mission of The STEM Academy at Bartlett creates an environment of engagement, exploration, and problem solving for students. Technology and apps help facilitate the type of learning established through this vision.

    Part of the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System, The STEM Academy at Bartlett serves 6th through 8th grade students.

    The school is certified as a Georgia STEAM middle school and has been recognized as a Lighthouse School to Watch by The National Middle School Association. ​

    ​The school was first recognized for the honor in 2016-18. It has been renewed every three years since that time.
