SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – The Matthew Reardon Center for Autism (MRCA) is hosting an upcoming Open House.

The community is invited to the event to explore the center’s facilities, meet the team, and learn more about the programs that support individuals with autism and their families.

There will be a range of activities, including bouncy houses, food trucks and miniature therapy horses.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to take guided tours of the classrooms to see teaching methods and resources the center provides its students.

The event will also serve as an introduction to the Center’s new President and CEO, Jackie Smith, who will be on hand to meet with families, community members, and supporters.

Attendees will have a chance to learn more about the center’s future direction under new leadership and to connect with others who share a passion for supporting individuals with autism.

“We are thrilled to open our doors to the community and showcase the incredible work being done at MRCA and our new President and CEO, Jackie Smith,” said MRCA Board Chair, Madigan Critell. “This event is not just about fun – it’s about celebrating the progress of our students and the ongoing commitment to providing the highest level of support to those on the autism spectrum. We look forward to welcoming the Savannah community and prospective new students and their families.”

The free event will be held Saturday, September 21, from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. at 11500 Middleground Rd.

Families, educators, and anyone interested in learning more about autism support services are encouraged to attend.

Established in 2000, the Matthew Reardon Center for Autism, a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation in Savannah, provides autism-related advocacy and outreach across southeast Georgia and operates southeast Georgia’s only accredited, year-round day school for children with autism.
