Myers Middle School placed on lockdown due to threat

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – On Tuesday, the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System (SCCPSS) said Myers Middle School was placed on a precautionary lockdown due to a social media threat.

Dismissal has been delayed while police investigate and conduct a search of the building.

SCCPSS says there is no indication that the threat is credible at this time.

On Tuesday, Windsor Forest High School was also placed on lock down after a threat was called in.

Concerning that lockdown, SCCPSS said it was precautionary and they currently have no indication that the threat is credible, but all threats are taken seriously.
