City of Savannah to hold 2024 United Way campaign event

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – The City of Savannah is readying to begin its 2024 United Way campaign at the beginning of next week.

City staff and officials will gather in City Hall on Monday, Sept. 16 for a kick-off event.

Staff and members of United Way will share notes on the importance of the campaign and Mayor Johnson will reveal this year’s fundraising goal for Team Savannah.

The United Way of The Coastal Empire has set a goal of improving lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities. United Way supports and funds nonprofit programs, providing direct assistance to people through the 211 call and county service centers and by connecting volunteers to causes that strengthen our community.
