Here’s where the flu shot is available near you

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – Flu season is rapidly approaching, and multiple Coastal Empire and Lowcountry health centers are rolling out their vaccines for the public.

The flu vaccine is recommended for everyone over the age of six months. High-dose flu vaccine options are available for seniors aged 65 and above.

Here is where you can get your flu shot in your region.

Bryan County, Ga.

Richmond Hill and Pembroke residents may now get flu vaccinations at Bryan County Health Department (BCHD) clinics.

You can schedule an appointment for your flu shot by calling BCHD in Richmond Hill at 912-756-2611 or Pembroke at 912-653-4331.

Chatham County, Ga.

The Chatham County Health Department has made flu vaccines available.

You can schedule an appointment for your annual flu shot at the Chatham County Health Department by calling 912-356-2441.

Effingham County, Ga.

The Effingham County Health Department (ECDH) has made flu vaccines available.

The ECDH will also host a drive-through flu shot event on Thursday, October 10 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in its facility parking lot on 802 Highway 119 South.

Liberty County, Ga.

The Liberty County Health Department (LCHD) has made walk-in appointments available for the flu shot.

Long County, Ga.

You can schedule your flu vaccine at the Long County Health Department by calling 912-545-2107.

McIntosh County, Ga.

The McIntosh County Health Department (MCHD) has made the vaccine available during regular clinic hours by appointment. You can schedule an appointment in the clinic by calling 912-832-5473.

MCHD will host its annual drive-through flu shot event on Thursday, October 17, 2024.

Flu vaccinations will be available from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the health department’s parking lot at 1335 Georgia Highway 57 in Townsend.
