    3 Georgia universities rank top 50, according to U.S. News 2025 rankings

    SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – Three Georgia universities have ranked in the top 50 for the U.S. News 2025 edition of the Best National University Rankings.

    Schools in the National Universities category are ranked according to the range of undergraduate majors, plus master’s and doctoral programs and show a commitment to producing groundbreaking research.

    Emory University ranked #24 and stood out as a leading research institution with a strong reputation for rigorous academic programs.

    Georgia Institute of Technology ranked #33, partly because it conducts government and industry research, and the school’s efforts are key to the Georgia Research Alliance, which plays a role in the state’s economic development strategy.

    University of Georgia ranked #46, is noted for their renowned graduate programs in its College of Education and Law School. As both a land and sea grant university, UGA is active in research and promotion of agricultural and sea-based programs.
