GEMA recommends that all Georgia schools consider early dismissal and closure

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV)—The Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security (GEMA/HS) has recommended Thursday that all schools south of Macon consider early dismissal and closure.

Due to the impacts of Hurricane Helene, GEMA recommends that all Georgia schools south of Macon, public and private, consider early dismissal on Thursday. GEMA is also recommending that all schools are closed throughout the state for Friday.
