Relief plane makes emergency landing at Vidalia airport

VIDALIA, Ga. (WSAV) – A plane carrying disaster relief to the Vidalia area made an emergency landing on Thursday.

The City of Vidalia announced on its official Facebook page that the small plane declared an emergency due to electrical failure.

Both the city and the Georgia Fire Department responded and established a quick perimeter for landing. The plane was able to make a safe emergency landing.

“We would like to spotlight our firefighters for their dedication to ensure the safety of our citizens and its visitors[!!],” the City wrote in the post.

None of the pilots on board were harmed.
