    Beaufort County, US Department Veterans Affairs to hold Expo

    BEAUFORT COUNTY, S.C. (WSAV) — The Beaufort County Veterans Affairs and the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) have partnered to host a Veterans Assistance Expo Saturday.

    The expo will be held Oct. 19, 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. It will be held at Technical College of the Lowcountry, 104 Reynolds Street, Beaufort.

    It will be free and open to all veterans and their dependents in Beaufort County.

    VA officials will be on hand to answer questions and assist veterans with disability and pension claim filings for veteran and widow benefits, readiness and employment benefits, vendors and services from community partners.

    Glynn County Police Department awarded DUI enforcement grant

    A VA Human Resources representative will also be available to discuss education and job opportunities with the VA Administration.

    The Beaufort County Veterans Affairs Office assists veterans, their spouses and other dependents with access to government programs for which they are eligible. VA Counselors are available by appointment only by calling 843-255-6880 .
