Atlanta to host Super Bowl LXII in 2028

ATLANTA, Ga. (WSAV) — The National Football League (NFL) announced on Tuesday that the Super Bowl will be held at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta in 2028.

“Excited to welcome NFL fans from around the nation back to the Peach State for another Superbowl! Atlanta remains a leading destination for the world’s top athletes, and we’re looking forward to a great game in 2028,” Georgia Govenor Brian Kemp said on X.

Super Bowl LXII marks the fourth time Atlanta has hosted the Superbowl and the second time at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, with the most recent game hosted in 2019.

“Renowned for its hospitality and rich sports and entertainment culture, Atlanta is a world-class event destination and a natural fit for Super Bowl 62,” said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. “Arthur Blank has been a transformative figure in the Atlanta community, playing a crucial role in leading the bid to bring the Super Bowl back to the city. I have been fortunate to witness firsthand how Arthur continues to drive community engagement and economic development in the Atlanta community through his unwavering commitment to sports and philanthropy.
