Murder investigation underway, says Glynn County PD

GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) — The Glynn County Police Department (GCPD) said they are investigating a murder that occurred on Wednesday.

Around 1:03 a.m. on Oct. 16, patrol officers responded to a shooting at 3803 Emanuel Ave., where they found a victim with gunshot wounds in the backyard, GCPD said. The victim, 36-year-old Taylor Beauford of Brunswick, died from the injuries.

“Since the incident unfolded, a dedicated team of detectives, crime scene specialists, and patrol officers has tirelessly pursued and explored various investigatory leads to unravel the circumstances surrounding the tragic event,” the GCPD said. “The investigation has involved a thorough examination of the crime scene, extensive interviews with potential witnesses, and the gathering of evidence to piece together the sequence of events leading to this tragedy.”
