Body found lying in middle of DeKalb County street

DeKalb County police are investigating after a body was found in middle of a street.

Officers responded to the area of Warriors Path and Waldrop Lane near Flat Shoals Road sometime Thursday morning.

Channel 2′s Steve Gehlbach reported from the scene on Channel 2 Action News This Morning as crime scene investigators and the medical examiner’s office arrived.

It’s unclear how long the body has been lying in the road and if the victim was killed at the location or somewhere else.

The road reopened just before 7:30 a.m.

Channel 2 Action News has reached out to DeKalb police for more information.
