Tennessee Destination Named The State's 'Must-Visit Small Town'

Thrillist compiled a list of the "must-visit small town" in every state, smaller destinations that offer "a respite from big-city life" and a glimpse of the "romanticism of small towns" in America. From beach towns promising white sandy shores to mountainside villages and idyllic coastal havens, the list is full of locales you simply have to see for yourself.

Of all the fun spots around Tennessee, the state's best small town to visit is Bell Buckle. With a population of around 410, this location has unique features, delicious food and "old-timey" vibes. According to the site:

"Located a mere 54 miles from trendy Nashville, Bell Buckle feels more like a trip down memory lane than I-24. You'd assume the most scenic portion of town, a welcoming row of mom and pop shops, has been untouched by time aside maybe from an eco-friendly Prius parked over the town's literal street art — an old-timey quilt painted on the road. For dinner, twice-fried pork chops await at the Bell Buckle Cafe, followed by an evening sitting in handcrafted rockers watching trains pass and sucking down a malt from the Bluebird Antiques & Ice Cream Parlor. To catch the town in its prime, head down in June for the RC Cola-MoonPie Festival, a day of crafts, shopping, Moon Pie Olympics (it's exactly what it sounds like), and the annual cutting of the world's largest moon pie."
