No. 2 Lander prepares for DII Wrestling Championship

GREENWOOD, S.C. (WSPA) – The second-ranked Lander University wrestling team is headed to the Division II Wrestling Championship this weekend in Wichita, Kansas.

The fifth year program is coming off a record-setting season that saw a second place finish at Nationals and six Bearcats named All-Americans.

The Bearcats go into the tournament with nine wrestlers, at least one more than any other opponent, and with a shot at bringing the first ever wrestling championship, not only back to South Carolina, but to the entire Southeast region.
