ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – An Upstate man is now $200,000 richer after a big scratch-off win.

The ticket was purchased at the QuikTrip on Highway 86 in Anderson County, just off of Interstate 85, according to the South Carolina Education Lottery.

The man told lottery officials he wasn’t sure the winning ticket was true so he took it back inside the store to get a second opinion.

After scanning it, the clerk told him he needed to take his $5 Monopoly scratch-off ticket to Columbia.

“I was pretty sure I won then,” he told lottery officials.

There’s just one top prize remaining in the $5 Monopoly scratch-off game, according to the lottery.
