GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) – With the high school football season just around the corner, the Wade Hampton Generals are previewed ahead of the August 23 kickoff.

Preview:

Reuben Wright returns to the area to guide the Generals. He takes over a sophomore dominated team, led by quarterback Tegan Hamrick and receiver JaQwon Haygood along with a group of juniors in Jamarion McKinney and Will Kay. They’ll rely on running backs James Coleman and Xaikias Latimer as additional weapons around Hamrick.

The defensive line is a strength with Connor McCall, Jomarian Smith and Jay Haygood. Linebackers Angel Gomez and Mehki Hentz are also anchors on that side.
