    Ribbon cutting for new ADA-accessible dock at Duncan Park Lake

    SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) – PAL and the City of Spartanburg will host an official ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the new ADA-accessible dock and kayak rental kiosk at Duncan Park Lake.

    The development will mark a significant milestone in the Duncan Park Revisioning Plan, and will bring enhanced, accessibility and recreation options to the community park.

    The ribbon cutting ceremony will be held Tuesday, August 27 and will feature a community paddle event from 12:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Residents and visitors can enjoy free kayak rentals and explore the 14-acre lake.

    The official, ribbon cutting ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m.

    As the Duncan Park Revisioning Plan progresses, future plans include building a trail around the
    lake and potentially a pavilion.
