    Man facing DUI charge in deadly Anderson Co. crash

    ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – Troopers have arrested a man who was involved in a July crash which killed another man in Anderson County.

    South Carolina Highway Patrol said Matthew Thimons was arrested Friday and charged with felony DUI involving death.

    The crash happened July 18 on LaFrance Road near U.S. 76 just after 10 a.m.

    Troopers said a Chevrolet pickup truck headed northbound collided with a BMW headed southbound.

    Both drivers were taken to the hospital.

    The driver of the pickup truck, identified as 36-year-old Christopher Price, later died from his injuries.

    Thimons is being held in the Anderson County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
