HSRZ Preview: Byrnes Rebels

DUNCAN, S.C. (WSPA) – With high school football season around the corner, the Byrnes Rebels are previewed ahead of the 2024 season which kicks off on August 23.

• region 2-5A champs, 4-0

Zy Landrum (QB), Caine Rogers (QB), Tre Segarra (RB), Tyleik Dawkins (WR), Kailin McDowell (WR), Shayne Dixon (LB), Sharrod Wilkins (DL), Jaidyn Ferguson (DL), Justice Hopkins (DL)

Preview:

Just four starters return on either side for a Rebels team that will play all of its games on the road this season due to stadium construction. The offense features dynamic running back and centerpiece of the attack, Tre Segarra, and wide receivers Shannon Harris, Kailin McDowell and Tyleik Dawkins while Zy Landrum battled Kane Rogers in preseason for the starting quarterback job.

All but one defensive lineman return to front a young secondary.
