GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) – This week’s high school standout is getting looks from some top area programs after leading the state in an impressive category.

Christ Church’s Jackson Repp ended the 2023 a back-to-back state champion with the Cavaliers after leading the team with 27 receiving touchdowns, the most by any receiver in the state, according to MaxPreps.

“I would describe myself as a fast and twitchy player,” said Repp. “I play with a little bit of a chip on my shoulder. I’m not the biggest guy but I use my speed to my advantage.”

Repp’s speed is one of the reasons he’s getting attention from schools like the University of South Carolina, who made its official offer to the senior just weeks ago. At a camp with the Gamecocks, Repp clocked a 4.25-4.3 in the 40, a time he attributes to skills picked up in his recent track season.

“It’s incredibly valuable to have a guy like Jackson Repp, he’s a playmaker,” said head coach Quin Hatfield. “The team just has so much confidence in him and we can do so many different things, short game, try to send him long, but at the same time, he’s a leader for us.”

With 15 offers and counting, Repp is in no rush to make a commitment just yet.

“I want to play at the highest level. I want to play against the best people in the world,” said Repp. “I want to be at a place that’s going to set me up well for life after football.”

Coach Hatfield believes Repp has all the qualities to do exactly what he sets out to.

“I think he’s going to blow it up at the next level. I honestly think that,” said Hatfield. “I’m trying to take any bias out of it but I think Jackson Repp can be an NFL football player, 100%. That’s how good he is.”

In total, Repp recorded 2,393 all-purpose yards and 32 touchdowns in the 2023 season. He hopes that despite moving up in divisions, the Cavaliers can remain one of the top programs in the Upstate.

“It’s just going to take us staying the course. There’s going to be a lot of things that happen this year that aren’t going to go how we want it to go. We just got to keep our heads down and keep working,” Repp said.
