HSRZ Preview: Wren Golden Hurricanes

PIEDMONT, S.C. (WSPA) – With high school football just around the corner, the Wren Golden Hurricanes are previewed ahead of the 2024 season which kicks off on August 23.

Wren Hurricanes:

2023 record: 6-6

Head Coach: Anthony Frate, 2nd season

Colten Bagwell (QB), Reese Price (RB), Carson Bryant (WR), Cam Sanders (DE), Pedro Acatitlan (LB), Tyler Morgan (S), Noah Ramey (S)

Austin Beers (OL), Seth Hickerson (WR), Brandon Kirby (CB)

Preview:

Anthony Frate enters year number two with a returning one-two rushing punch in his offensive backfield in quarterback Colten Bagwell, who rushed for 1,200 yards, and Reese Price, a 1,500 yard rusher. Four starting offensive linemen are back to clear the way while Carson Bryant returns at wide receiver as a prime target for Bagwell, who threw for 1,500 yards and 16 touchdowns with efficiency.

Safeties Tyler Morgan and Noah Ramey return in the secondary while defensive end Cam Sanders and middle linebacker Pedro Acatitlan sure up the defense up front.
