Infant death being investigated in Anderson Co.

ANDERSON, S.C. (WSPA) – Anderson County 911 received a call at 8:30 a.m. on Friday morning for an unresponsive one month old male in Piedmont.

Anderson County EMS, MedShore, Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, Anderson County Fire Chaplains, SLED, and Anderson County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene. The infant was announced dead on scene.

The cause and manner of death is currently under investigation by the Anderson County Child Death Investigation Task Force. No foul play is suspected.
