GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) – Prisma Health will keep it’s headquarters in downtown Greenville.

The Greenville City Council approved this week a public-private partnership to keep Prisma Health’s headquarters where it is at 300 East McBee Avenue through 2036 and a plan to further develop the complex which currently houses the company.

According to the city, the development agreement includes $650,000 in improvements at Falls Street and East McBee Avenue, and a $38 million private investment into 300 East McBee.

The planned improvements will expand Prisma Health’s footprint and add a new restaurant, STIR, a “signature high-end restaurant” which already has one location in Charlotte and is looking to expand into South Carolina.

The redeveloped space will also have more than 90,000 square feet to dedicate to retail clients and other businesses.

Prisma Health will occupy 60,000 square feet of the redeveloped space, and the restaurant will use another 6,400. The renovation project is projected to create 642 jobs, including 150 at Prisma Health and 125 at STIR.

In November 2023, the city’s design review board approved plans for the redevelopment, and work. Work has since started on the redevelopment and remains ongoing.
