    Upstate school district addresses safety concern following social media post

    SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – Spartanburg County School District Four released a statement Friday morning about safety concerns following a social media post regarding Woodruff High School.

    School officials said they have been made aware of a concerning post on social media and stated that local law enforcement is assisting the district with an investigation.

    Security has been increased on the campus following the message according to the district.

    The district released the following statement:

    Safety is our top priority in Spartanburg School District Four. As you may be aware, there is a social media post regarding a school safety concern. School officials and school resources officers are aware and investigating. If anyone has information you believe to be helpful, please contact Woodruff High School Administration via phone or email. Again, safety is our top priority in Spartanburg District Four.

    The incident remains an ongoing investigation according to the school district.

    there's more to this incident than they are telling the public yes a follow up should be conducted talk to the kid find out why then go from there. going to the school and telling them why they'll just push it under the rug

    A damned shame. That school has been through enough considering the old high school was burned to the ground by a a student when I was a freshman there. The next year a student came in with a gun.
