    79-year-old man killed in Anderson Co. crash

    ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – One person has died following a crash Thursday in Anderson County.

    The Anderson County Coroner’s Office said the crash occurred on Hamlin Road at Old Greenville Highway around 12:15 p.m.

    According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, three cars were involved in the crash.

    A Nissan and a Ford SUV were stopped in traffic on Old Greenville Highway when a GMC pickup truck rear-ended the Ford SUV which caused the SUV to rear-end the Nissan.

    The coroner’s office identified the man who died as Mickey Lee Harper, 79, of Greenville.

    Officials said Harper died from multiple traumatic injuries, with his manner of death being ruled an accident.

    The coroner’s office and SCHP are investigating the crash at this time.
