    Moon Howl held in Tryon this weekend at FENCE to fund programming

    Tryon, N.C. – You can get loud for a good time Saturday at Foothills Equestrian Nature Center in Tryon.

    The Moon Howl is back after a 15-year hiatus. It’s an outdoor concert featuring local artists and all proceeds go to FENCE.

    FENCE is a non-profit organization that started in 1984.

    It’s dedicated to serving as a community resource for preserving green space and for educational opportunities linking nature, animals, and people through equine therapy.

    Bands playing include Kayla McKinney opening for The Dirty South Band and don’t miss food trucks on Sept 7.

    “It is going to support all of our programs that we do here at FENCE.  Our goal is to be a community resource so we’ve got 384 acres that all the community can access year round,” said Tracie Hansen.

    FENCE is proud to offer TROT, Therapeutic Riding of Tryon, a program that provides equine assisted activities to adults and children with physical, developmental and cognitive disabilities in a safe, friendly and supportive environment.
