OCONEE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – For the second time in two days, deputies said a teenager is facing charges for threatening an Oconee County school.

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office said a 14-year-old was detained Tuesday after investigators said that he made threats toward Walhalla High School.

According to the sheriff’s office, the School Resource Officer investigated the threats beginning Monday and was able to confirm the threats Tuesday.

The Walhalla High School student, who did not attend classes Tuesday, was charged with making school threats and was turned over to the Department of Juvenile Justice.

On Monday, Oconee County deputies announced charges against a 13-year-old in connection with threats toward Walhalla Middle School.
