SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – It’s a chance for students to help other kids with cancer.

Children’s Cancer Partners of the Carolinas provides a chance for them to learn how to care for others at a young age.

The program is called Kids in Lids and it brings students together to show concern for their friends and classmates who are in a life-or-death struggle with cancer.

A school hosts a day where caring kids bring a dollar to school and get to wear their favorite hats throughout the school day.

Participating in Kids in Lids you’ll help children from your school district get to their cancer treatments and benefit from resources.

Families with a child diagnosed with cancer also might need gas, transportation, food, and lodging covered while they are being treated far from home and hosting you helps to provide these services too.
