    Women’s re-entry ministry celebrates 10 years with fundraising party at Fretwell in Spartanburg

    SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA)- Angel’s Charge Ministry is helping local women find a new way of life after incarceration.

    Angels Charge Ministry is celebrating its 10th Anniversary with the 2nd annual Second Chance Supper at Fretwell in Spartanburg . There will be live music, beer and wine from Fretwell and dinner by Pig on Fire .

    Spartanburg County ranks #2 in the state for number of females incarcerated. Angels Charge Ministry believes in lending help through transitional housing for 12-18 months.

    ● 77% of them have children

    ● 58% struggle with a mental illness

    ● 49% struggle with an addition

    ● 42% are without a G.E.D.

    Since its establishment in 2014 by Pastor Nannie Jefferies, Angels Charge Ministry has been a beacon of hope for many. The organization’s mission is to provide the necessary tools for a successful reentry into society, and it has successfully helped women, young and old, ever since its inception.

    Jefferies said women change their life patterns and the organization helps set them up for success.

    The dinner is Tuesday, October 1 and tickets are $50 each
