    Four arrested after months-long drug investigation

    SPINDALE, N.C. (WSPA) – Four people were arrested Tuesday as a result of an over two-month-long investigation into alleged drug activity Spindale.

    According to Spindale Police Department, after receiving multiple complaints about drug activity stemming from a home on Grose Street, the Tri-City Violent Crime Task Force opened the investigation which led to the arrests.

    According to the police department, task force members did hours of surveillance and made multiple traffic stops during which they seized drugs before obtaining a search warrant for the home.

    During the search warrant, police said 10 people were found inside the home and searched, with four being arrested.

    Amy Stafford, Jazmine Crosby, Steven Smith and Andrew Wilson were each arrested and charged with possession and possession with intent to distribute various drugs including methamphetamine, MDMA and marijuana.

    While bringing those arrested to jail, police said a full body scan of one of the female suspects detected an “unusual object,” which a further search revealed to be more methamphetamine and pills which had been hidden inside a body cavity.

    In total, police said they seized

    • 3.7 Grams of Pressed Pills (Heroin/Fentanyl)
    • 4 Dosage Units of MDMA (Ecstasy)
    • 20cc of Liquid Methamphetamine
    • 3.5 Grams of Hydrocodone Pills (Opiates)
    • 18.7 Grams of Crystal Methamphetamine
    • Marijuana
