(WSPA) – A man is facing drug trafficking charges in two counties, according to authorities.

According to Pickens County Sheriff’s Office, on July 11 deputies saw Michael Troy Bryant with a black book bag driving an ATV on Old Easley Bridge Road.

When deputies tried to initiate a traffic stop, the man fled off-road.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies were able to follow a trail of items they believed fell from the ATV on another road, which led them to a black book bag containing over 1,000 grams of methamphetamine and a stolen pistol.

Later that month, Bryant was found in Greenville County and arrested. Deputies said they found an additional 600 grams of methamphetamine, 150 grams of marijuana and 10 grams of fentanyl during his arrest.

Bryant was taken to the Greenville County Detention Center where he is being held without bond.

He has been charged with trafficking methamphetamine in Pickens and Greenville counties, as well as possession of a weapon during a violent crime and possession of a stolen firearm in Pickens County.
