SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) — One person died Wednesday night in a crash on Highway 9 in Boiling Springs.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol said the crash happened near Birds Eye View before 9 p.m.

Troopers reported that a Chrysler was traveling south when it collided with a Honda SUV turning onto Highway 9 from a private residence.

The driver of the Honda SUV was pronounced dead at the scene, according to troopers.

The Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 52-year-old Lisa Bowen of Inman.

The crash remains under investigation by the SCHP.

It depends where on the car it was hit. If behind the rear wheel well it would be the person traveling straight fault. If the car hit from the front bumper to the rear wheel well it's called failure to yield right of way
