    17-year-old wanted for murder in Laurens Co.

    LAURENS COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office needs the public’s help locating a 17-year-old accused of murder.

    Deputies shared photos with 7NEWS of Kamarius Lee Cunningham who has been charged with murder and possession of weapon during a violent crime.

    On Thursday, officials announced that a fatal shooting investigation was underway on Georgia Acres Road in Gray Court. The Laurens County Coroner’s Office identified 23-year-old Nigel Malik Smith as the victim in the shooting.

    Hours later, the LCSO posted on their Facebook page Cunningham was wanted in the county.

    7NEWS reached out to the sheriff’s office to confirm if Cunningham is connected to Thursday’s death investigation but have not received a response at this time.

    Deputies said information leading to Cunningham’s arrest could result in a reward.
