GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C.(WSPA) – A Greenville County business had to be evacuated Wednesday morning due to a fire.

According to Tristan Johnson, public information officer for Greenville Fire Department, fire crews were called to Canteen Food Services on Woods Lake Road after employees reported smoke in the building.

At the scene, firefighters found an active fire and began working to put it out. Employees were evacuated while fire crews extinguished the fire.

The fire is now out, and the fire marshal is investigating. Johnson said there is currently nothing to suggest the fire was set intentionally, and it is not clear at this time if the business will be able to reopen.
