    Upstate universities postpone, delay games after storm impacts

    (WSPA) — The impacts of the tropical storm on the Upstate have caused sporting events at Furman University and Wofford College to be delayed or postponed.

    Wofford College

    Football game vs. Mercer will kick-off at 3pm Saturday instead of its initially schedule 1:30pm time.

    The Wofford volleyball game against Samford has been delayed until 6 p.m. at the Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium. All traffic is advised to enter through Twitty Street. Admission to the match is free, with no ESPN+ broadcast.

    The women’s soccer game at Samford University will go on as scheduled at 7 p.m.

    The men’s tennis tournament at Coastal Carolina will have no Friday matches, but will have matches on Saturday and Sunday.

    Wofford women’s tennis at Charleston Southern will also have a delayed start and play on Saturday and Sunday.

    Furman University

    The Furman Paladins’ football game against Samford and women’s soccer game against Western Carolina have been postponed.

    Furman’s campus will be closed Saturday.

    University officials said more details regarding postponed events will be announced later.

    Presbyterian College

    Saturday’s football game vs. Davidson has been postponed

    North Greenville University

    Saturday’s game vs. visiting Shorter has been cancelled

    Limestone University

    Saturday’s game vs. visiting Emory&Henry has been moved to Sunday at 1pm

    Erskine

    Saturday home game vs. Delta State cancelled
