Crews begin work on Spartanburg County water main break

(WSPA) – After hours of searching, work crews have located and begun work to repair a water main break in Spartanburg County.

According to Inman Campobello Water District, crews spent much of Friday night and Saturday morning searching for a broken water main which is suspected to be under an area of high standing water left over from Tropical Storm Helene.

The break has since been located and crews expect the main to be repaired and operational again sometime Saturday evening.

Customers affected by the break are located west of Interstate 26 and Highway 11 and impacted customers will notice either a drop in water pressure or no water at all in their homes.

ICWD has attempted to notify all impacted customers, but due to issues with emergency phone systems, not everyone impacted may have been notified.

Once the broken main is located and repaired, customers will be under a boil water advisory until water lines can be properly tested.
