PICKENS COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – The Easley Central Water District is asking customers to help conserve water as much as possible while officials work to get access to a water reservoir.

According to the water district, due to power outages caused by Tropical Storm Helene, ECWD’s instate station is without power, and the district has no way to get water to its reservoir and to customers.

“..we have a limited amount of water remaining and ask that our customers help conserve water as much as possible,” the district said in a statement.

The district has been in contact with power company to resolve the issue, but due to the number of outages and trees still on power lines, there is no estimate for when power can be restored and service can return to normal.
