ANDERSON COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – Belton-Honea Path Water Authority has issued a boil water notice for all of its customers as a result of the historic flooding.

The boil water notice includes all customers, even including those in City of Belton, Town of Honea Path, and Donalds-Due West District.

Residents are instructed to use boiled tap water or bottled water for consumption. Consumption includes drinking, brushing teeth, making ice, food preparation and preparation for baby formula.

Water is advised to come to a rolling boil. Customers do not need to boil water before using it for showering and/or bathing, according to the Belton-Honea Path Water Authority.
