Man arrested for deadly Greenville Co. stabbing

GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) – A man was arrested Sunday, accused of stabbing a man to death.

According to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to Sulphur Springs Road shortly after 1:00 a.m. At the scene, Rodardric Dawkins, 50, was found with a stab wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office said 50-year-old Raymond McMichael Jr. was arrested for murder.

During the course of the investigation, investigators learned McMichael and the victim, who lived in the same apartment complex, got into an altercation that led to the fatal stabbing.

Deputies said McMichael Jr. was arrested following the incident and transported to the Greenville County Detention Center. He awaits a bond hearing for the charges of Murder and Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime.
