GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) – Crews from across the country are in the Upstate to help restore power for thousands of residents and help clean up damage from Helene.

Linemen from multiple states and Canada made the trek to South Carolina to help with recovery efforts.

As of Sunday, hundreds of thousands of people remained in the dark.

Temporary lodging and resources have been set up at the Haywood Mall for crews to rest as their work is likely to last several days.

I heard a Duke Power message around 7PM today.( Sunday) It said anticipated power back on for everyone would be Friday night at 9:45 pm. Of course, depending on where you live, it will be sooner than that. But ALL back on by Friday night. Hang tough.
