    Three area games were played Friday night, with others called-off due to the impact of the storm.

    Among the games that took place, BHP rested star running back Quez Henderson due to an injury in his previous game but still rolled-up nearly 500 yards of offense in a 55-6 trouncing of West-Oak in the Region 1-3A opener for both teams.

    BHP improves to 6-1, 1-0. West-Oak, which dropped its 12th straight game in the series, is 1-4, 0-1.

    Ninety Six moved its game against Pelion to the Lions home field and the Wildcats rolled to a 42-8 win in their Region 2-2A opener.

    In a SCISA contest, Orangeburg Prep took advantage of early mistakes by Spartanburg Christian en route to a 35-7 win at the Upward Star Center.
