Anderson Co. car crash injures one, leaves one dead

ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – One passenger was killed and another injured in a collision on US 76, Saturday afternoon.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, a 1941 Chevrolet Deluxe was headed east on US 76 when the vehicle managed to travel off the right side of the road and overturned. The vehicle contained three passengers.

The driver was reported to be okay and the front seat passenger was injured and transferred to the hospital.

Highway patrol said that the third passenger was transported to the hospital but succumbed to their injuries.

The victim was identified as 55-year-old Susan Renee Burdette Fant, of Anderson. Fant died as a result of multiple traumatic injuries secondary to blunt force trauma.
