CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – John B. and fellow Pogues are back for a fourth season of the hit Netflix series ‘Outer Banks’ hitting the streamer this fall.

The show is set in North Carolina’s Outer Banks; however, since season one the show has largely filmed in the Charleston area with scenes from “Kildare Island” brought to life through locations in Mount Pleasant’s Old Village, Shem Creek, Kiawah Island, and downtown Charleston.

Netflix said the fourth season is split into two five-episode parts with the first out on October 10 and the second dropping on November 7.

After a return from finding gold at El Dorado, the team returns to OBX expecting a simpler life. But trouble quickly blooms – again – for the Pogues before they eventually set out on a new hunt for more gold.

Filming for the new season began in June 2023 with casting agents seeking extras throughout the area for episodes in the new season. Filming wrapped this summer.

A premiere party for the new season was hosted Tuesday night at Charleston Music Hall and featured stars from the hit series.
