Teen injured in shooting in Anderson

ANDERSON, S.C. (WSPA) – A shooting investigation is underway after a 19-year-old was injured Tuesday night in Anderson.

The Anderson Police Department responded around 6 p.m. to the 300 block of South Jefferson Avenue in D.B. Walker Park in reference to the shooting.

Witnesses told authorities the teenager was at the basketball court when he was approached by two men in black ski masks. Officers learned that an argument led to a fight and then the shooting occurred.

The teenager was taken to the hospital for what is believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

The shooting remains under investigation by the Anderson PD.
