    Piedmont Interstate Fair kicks off in Spartanburg, what to know

    SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) – The Piedmont Interstate Fair has arrived in Spartanburg, offering a week of fun with thrilling rides, tasty fair food, and entertaining games.

    The first day of the fair began on Tuesday, but will continue until Sunday, October 13. The Piedmont Interstate Fair is located at 575 Fairgrounds Road, in Spartanburg.

    Customers can purchase admission and ride tickets and at the gate. Here are the prices with their corresponding days:

    • Tuesday through Thursday, $10 and children $5
    • Friday through Sunday, $15 and children $10
    • Seniors, 65 or older, $7
    • Veterans with ID, $7
    • Children 4 and younger get in for free

    Ride tickets will be sold inside the gate and each ride requires 10-25 tickets. Here are ride ticket prices:

    • One credit, $0.25
    • 40 credits, $10
    • 72 credits, $18
    • 192 credits, $48
    • 392 credits, $98
    • Unlimited ride wristband, $30

    Gates will open from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Tuesday through Friday. On Saturday, gates will open from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. and will open on Sunday from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m.

    The Piedmont Interstate Fair offers everyday events including a petting zoo, pig racing, helicopter rides, live music, magic shows and more. To see the fair’s full schedule for each day, you can visit their website.
