    One killed, five hurt in Elbert Co. shooting

    ELBERT COUNTY, Ga. (WSPA) – A shooting happened at the Seven Grand Nightclub on Evergreen Drive, Saturday evening. The Elbert County Sheriff’s Office said five people were shot and one was confirmed deceased.

    The shooting was reported at 11:49 p.m. and officials said the victims’ ages ranged from 15 to 19 years old, with one 41-year-old victim.

    Deputies said a 15-year-old was airlifted to the hospital on advanced life support, who later succumbed to their injuries.

    The investigation is now classified as a homicide and is being led by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, and several agencies are actively assisting in the case.

    According to officials, Evergreen Drive remains close to the public and authorities are advising residents to avoid the area.
